The Challenge

Atlas Logistics ran their entire client-facing operation through a portal built more than a decade ago, patched together over the years rather than rebuilt. Clients couldn't get a straight answer on where a shipment actually was without calling support, page loads dragged on slow connections common at warehouse sites, and the mobile experience was effectively unusable. Every quarter, support tickets about shipment status climbed, eating into a team that should have been focused on logistics, not tech support.

Our Approach

We rebuilt the platform from the ground up rather than patching the old one further. Real-time tracking became the centerpiece of the new dashboard, with status updates written in plain language instead of internal shipping codes. We rebuilt the information architecture around the three questions clients actually asked most, where's my shipment, when will it arrive, and what do I need to do next, and made sure every screen answered at least one of them at a glance. The whole platform was designed mobile-first, since a large share of Atlas's clients were checking status from a warehouse floor, not a desk.

The Result

Support tickets related to shipment status dropped sharply within the first month of rollout, and client satisfaction scores rose noticeably over the following two months. The Atlas team now points new clients to the self-serve portal by default, something that would have been unthinkable with the old system.
